Introduction of horse into the american continent by spanish in mid 17th century allowed the natives to hunt bison easier. Towards the end of 17th century more and more native tribes settled in the dry wilderness and built the culture of the plain natives. This was due to high abundance of bison and easy by hunting with horse.
